Biggest advice I can give for going into dating is stay the fuck off your phone during a date. Unless it’s not going well and you are seeing where in the fuck your uber is, keep that thing in your pocket.
Learn how to hold a conversation and be interested. It’s supposed to feel natural, be fun. You aren’t in a job interview
Don’t go somewhere loud or to a movie for your first date. You want to get to know this person, not shout at them or worse, ignore them for 2 hours.
For when you’re dating, be safe and pay attention to red flags. I don’t mean dump them because they suggested you share your fries, but if they are making you feel like you need them or constantly interrogating you when you are out with your mates, pay attention. Listen to your heart though, if you feel something is wrong or not working out, don’t waste your time or theirs, figure out what’s causing it. Don’t lose your sense of self
At the same time, dating should be fun, find little ways to keep them laughing, be who you are with your partner as you are with your friends. And don’t stop growing as a person or partner, complacency kills relationships. Keep growing together.
