Yes, a couple can have too much sex. But it depends on their age.A couple generally never has too much sex – if this was to happen for one of the couple then it would get toned down to an acceptable level.
When we were “negotiating” our level of frequency and it got to every other day, frankly I was ok with it, my Wife however decided that it was going to be every day, she was enjoying herself and her position was that there was no reason to abstain and ultimately it was just simpler to make love every day rather than track or schedule sex as an on day or off day… So she started wearing “appropriate” sleep wear to bed each night and each morning we would wake up early and make love.
At first I had MAJOR concerns… could I be close to age fifty at the time to keep up to this pace? A bigger concern was would this get boring or stale? I entered into this thinking well we can always scale back a bit if something goes wrong… Turns out that I could reliably perform to her demand level and it sure never got stale or boring. Fifteen years later – I am over sixty now and we still make love every morning…
Now that is a lot of sex for a twenty year old and for those our age – it is likely off the charts but for us it is normal… Now could it be twice a day? Long term? Perhaps… but for us once a day is actually quite nice and we not only like it, we both look forward to jumping each other – and no one would ever dream to guess that this is the case. I can tell you that regular sexual activity is like any other form of exercise – it sure keeps everything working reliably.
